Who is Jerusalem Guards?
Alert adult guards in short wool tunics beneath leather-and-bronze scale vests, dusty red cloaks, and simple metal helmets. Leather sandals and oval shields suit their upright gate-post silhouettes; short spears rest at their sides. Their Roman-influenced equipment identifies them as Herod’s city and palace watch.
