Who is Priests and Scribes?
A small group of Judean scholars in layered ivory and dust-brown linen tunics, wool mantles, and wrapped head-cloths. Some have short beards and ink-stained fingers; all carry rolled parchment scrolls beneath their arms. Their modest silhouettes and leather sandals contrast with the king’s gold and the visitors’ embroidered Parthian robes.
