Disciples

A small group of Judean and Galilean men in practical knee-length linen tunics, earth-toned wool mantles, and worn leather sandals gather close together. Dark hair, short beards, anxious faces, shuttered posture, oil lamps, and a barred wooden door create varied silhouettes; no one wears Roman armor or the chief disciple’s knotted head-cloth.
