About this story

Jesus has been crucified. His body is wrapped, laid in a stone tomb, and sealed behind a massive rolled stone. Roman soldiers stand guard. His friends scatter, devastated. Saturday passes in silence. Sunday before sunrise, Mary Magdalene and the women come to the tomb with spices to anoint the body. The stone is rolled away. A young man in white tells them, "He is not here. He is risen, just as he said." Mary turns and sees Jesus himself standing in the garden. He calls her by name. By that afternoon the message is racing through Jerusalem. This comic tells the central story of the Christian faith — the morning that changed everything.
