The Road to Emmaus

Luke 24:13-35

It''s Sunday evening. Two of Jesus'' disciples are walking the seven miles from Jerusalem to a village called Emmaus. They are heartbroken — they had hoped he was the one to redeem Israel, and now he is dead. A stranger joins them on the road and asks what they are discussing. They tell him everything. He walks with them and, starting with Moses and the prophets, explains how all the Scriptures point to a suffering and risen Messiah. They reach the village. They beg the stranger to stay for supper. He takes the bread, blesses it, breaks it — and in that moment they recognize him. It is Jesus. Then he vanishes. They run all the way back to Jerusalem in the dark, hearts on fire. This comic is a quiet, beautiful Easter story about how Jesus shows up when we don''t expect him.

Zechariah and Elizabeth

Luke 1:5-25

Zechariah and Elizabeth have loved God their whole lives, and they have prayed for a child for just as long. Now they are old, and the answer still hasn't come. Then one day, while Zechariah is serving in the Temple, the angel Gabriel appears beside the altar of incense: their prayer has been heard. They will have a son named John, who will get people ready for the Lord. Zechariah can hardly believe it, and he can't speak a word until the promise comes true. Months later, when baby John is born and named, Zechariah's voice returns as a song of praise. It's a story about waiting, and about a God who keeps his promises right on time, the perfect way to begin Advent.

Mary’s Yes

Luke 1:26-56

When the angel Gabriel appears to a young woman in the small town of Nazareth, he carries news that turns the world upside down. Mary, engaged to a carpenter named Joseph, is told she will give birth to the Son of God. She has no roadmap, no power, no public voice — only one word: yes. Her response, the Magnificat, has been sung by the Church for two thousand years. It is a song about a God who lifts the lowly and fills the hungry with good things — a song that begins with a single quiet "let it be to me." This comic helps kids see how one obedient yes can change history.

The Nativity

Luke 2:1-20

Caesar Augustus orders a census, and a young couple from Nazareth has to travel ninety miles south to Bethlehem. Mary is at the end of her pregnancy. They arrive late, the guest rooms are full, and the baby is born in a stable. His first cradle is a feeding trough wrapped in cloth. Out on the hills, shepherds — the people no one ever invites to anything — are suddenly surrounded by angels. "Good news of great joy for all people." They run to find the baby, and they are the first to spread the news that the Savior has come. This comic captures all the wonder of the most famous birth story in the world, told the way kids first hear it.
