Terms of Service

Welcome to Bible Heroes (“BibleHeroes”, “we”, “us”), a brand operated by Cocowah (Toronto, Canada). These Terms govern your access to and use of our website, comics, and related digital downloads (the “Service”). By using the Service or purchasing a comic you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after an update means you accept the new version.

2. Eligibility & Parental Consent

Our comics are made for children but are sold to adults. You must be 18 or older to make a purchase. If a child uses the Service, a parent or legal guardian must supervise that use and accept these Terms on the child’s behalf.

3. Accounts & Orders

You agree to provide accurate information when placing an order, and to keep any login credentials secure. We may refuse or cancel orders that appear fraudulent or that violate these Terms.

4. Digital License Grant

When you purchase a comic, Bible Heroes grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to download, store, read and print the comic for non-commercial use within a single household, classroom, or family ministry setting.

You may:

• Read the comic on your own devices.
• Print a reasonable number of copies for personal or in-classroom use.
• Make a backup copy.

You may not:

• Resell, rent, lease, sublicense or redistribute the file or its contents.
• Upload the file to any public, shared, or file-sharing service.
• Remove or alter copyright notices, watermarks, or attribution.
• Use the comic or its illustrations to train machine-learning models.
• Create derivative works for commercial purposes without our written permission.

The license terminates automatically if you breach these terms. Bulk, congregational, or commercial licensing is available on request.

5. Intellectual Property

All comics, illustrations, characters, text, audio and trade dress are the property of Bible Heroes or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. All rights not expressly granted in Section 4 are reserved.

6. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full payment card details. By submitting a payment you authorize Stripe to charge the amount shown at checkout, which already reflects any tier discount displayed in your cart.

7. Hosted Content

Editorial content (story descriptions, character pages, marketing copy) is managed through a content management system. We aim to keep this content accurate but make no warranty that it is free from error.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to interfere with the Service, attempt to access areas you are not authorised to use, or use the Service in any unlawful manner.

9. Disclaimers

The Service and the comics are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bible Heroes will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to a comic will not exceed the amount you paid for that comic in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page and revising the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated where reasonable.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence.
