Three years into the drought, Elijah challenges King Ahab to a contest on Mount Carmel. The 450 prophets of Baal will build an altar; Elijah will build one too. Each side will call on their god. The one who answers by fire is the real God. The prophets of Baal shout, dance, and cut themselves all day long. Nothing.
