About this story
The world has grown so loud with violence and cruelty that God grieves over what he made. He chooses one family — Noah, his wife Naamah, their three sons and their wives — and gives them a job that will take a hundred and twenty years: build a giant wooden ark, big enough for two of every animal. The rain comes for forty days. The ark floats. Everyone safe inside listens to the world being washed clean.
