Moses and the Burning BushComing soon

About this story

Moses is eighty years old, herding sheep in the wilderness of Midian. He has spent forty years in a palace and forty years in the desert; he believes his big chance is long behind him. Then he sees a thornbush on fire — burning, but not burning up. He turns aside to look. God speaks his name out of the flame: "Moses, Moses." He tells him to take off his sandals, because the ground is holy. Then comes the assignment: go back to Egypt and lead my people out of slavery. Moses argues — five times. Each time, God answers patiently, and gives him his big brother Aaron to help. The story shows kids that God meets us in the everyday, calls us by name, and sends us with what we already have in our hand.
